America is a Divided Nation and has been such since it’s conception. There has never been true equality, justice or the pursuit of happiness for all. The founding fathers of this nation recognized the disparity between racial groups; but proliferated the creation of a new republic for themselves despite the practice of chattel slavery. It was definitely in the minds of the authors of the Declaration of Independence. The Three-Fifths Compromise attests to the acknowledgment of slavery and counting such individuals as less than a ‘whole human being’. Still, they resumed without further ado, the dismantling of the practice in their new found colonies and through that negligence allowed the institution to grow thereby.
Fast forward two hundred years and the descendants of that ‘most cruel’ institution are still suffering today. When we observe the homeless, the incarcerated, the socially inept, the schizophrenic, the chronically unemployed and a host of other maladies; it is usually applicable to those called ‘African American’. Yet in this society it is assumed that because those affected today by the wrongs of yesteryear, did not experience it per se, they should be able to function normally. The so-called Jew of today persistently calls to remembrance the inhumane treatment their people suffered at the hands of Hitler. Yet, when the so-called African-American voices any concerns about his horrible treatment, he is told to ‘stop bringing up the past’ and none of those people are living today. This is the rhetoric that keeps this a divided nation.
No one wants to be reminded of the ugly truth of the past. Even the very affected, will try to dismiss that our past is the very thing affecting our present. If America, does nothing to remedy the ills of her past, nor contributes to the alleviating of wrongdoing to a people that are suffering atrociously today, she will reap the consequences of an evil nation. Look at the demise of Egypt, Babylon, Greece and Rome. All of those nations fell because they were not only disobedient to the Most High; but refused to acknowledge or correct those transgressions that were in their power to correct.
Pride is the culprit today and it usually occurs before a great fall. The oppressed and the downtrodden are telling the world that ‘privilege’ has no place in an equal and fair society. The policing of one group of people and the continual mistreatment of them, without compassion or empathy will bring the wrath of God on this nation. There is nothing mysterious or supernatural about judgment. When a nation falls under judgment it will suffer the natural calamities of the Earth. Hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, volcanic activity and such. We are already experiencing these natural disasters today and they will increase in frequency and intent; until this nation learns the ‘true meaning’ of it’s creed.
All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. This is the remedy to heal a Divided Nation.
