A new company has designed new ASICs to undermine Ethereum, the second currency after Bitcoin.
Linzhi, the company based in Shenzen, is late with the release date of the new miner, which was supposed to be for April 2019. But it has already 200 ready to be tested.
If these are valid then the actual production will begin.
The aim is to overcome the big ones, namely Bitmain and InnoSilicon, one of the models of the latter produces 450 MH / s with a consumption of 850w, instead the miner of Linzhi will produce 1400 MH / s with a consumption of 1 KW / h.
But we still don't know the price of these new machines.
One of the problems of these miners will be the revision of Ethereum. In fact, developments are underway to become a Blockchain Proof of Stake. Switching to PoS will make mining via ASIC virtually nil.
