NASA's new campaign begins in space on Monday night in search of new planets There is a lot of excitement created among the scientists about this mission. News BBC
In this mission, scientists of the US Space Research Organization will monitor two million stars. Their purpose is to discover more planets out of our solar system.
To this end, NASA is sending the satellite to space, Tess or Transit Exoplanet Survey Satellite.
NASA says, "This is the next step in finding the other planets out of our solar system."
But how to find this planet? Scientists say Tesa will see how bright the stars are, if their brightness is less then there may be a basic idea about the presence of a planet. Because when a planet travels around this star, its brightness may be more or less.
When a planet does something like this it is called transit. Scientists hope that Tase Satellite will be able to identify some such cases.
When this satellite is able to identify such transit phenomena, then there will be a plan to actually determine whether there is a planet, or why there is such a thing in it. Trying to see whether the planets are surrounded by stars, whether there is no existence of life in them, or are there life-long serve to live?
How to do it?
Tas satellites will conduct surveys across the sky for the next two years. This work will be done to divide the sky into 26 sections.
Is it possible to keep eyes in such a big sky? It is possible to divide 26 sections into one and only one part will be run on the survey.
There will be many cameras in the satellite. These cameras will keep an eye on the sky. Keep an eye on each part of 26 divisions for at least 27 days.
Trying to see with the camera, there is no change in the brightness of stars. If so, how many times it is - scientists from these can imagine that a planets are actually rotating around that star.
The stars that we will take to see this test satellite are 300 light-years away from our planet.
'We can run a test about each planet. We can talk about the differences between different planets. Those who can find out that the Tess will be able to find some great things for the future. "Scientists Stephen Rinehart Who is working on this project.
What is happening now
Now NASA has to send this Tess Space ship to space. The satellite will be launched from Florida on Monday night. It will rotate around the earth with the help of the ocean of gravity.
This will be the first 60 days. When scientists are pleased with its work, it is working according to their plan, then it will begin to look at the planets outside the solar system and it will last more than two years.
