Spike Chunsoft, a well-known developer of Danganronpa's most brutal novel visual gameplay series is reportedly working on a new gaming project. No longer focusing on the novel visual genre, this time they are working on an RPG game that is still loyal to the elements of brutal survival. Through the Games Developer Conference 2018 event that just ended yesterday, they finally share the latest details that have been anticipated by the fans.
This latest project itself is titled Zanki Zero: Last Beginning, a Survival RPG genre game directly handled by the producer series Danganronpa Yoshinori Terasawa and game designer Takayuki Sugawara. Seeing the involvement of both alone you would have been able to guess that this game will come with a theme that is not less brutal and crazy.
This game takes the background story on a dangerous island, where the eight main characters must find a way out by participating in a strange TV Show for 13 days that brought two mysterious mascots. Uniquely, here each main character represents the nature of the seven deadly sins, except for one character representing the original form of sin.
The uniqueness is also offered in the gameplay, where the survival element really provides challenges and painful torment. During survival, every character will surely die continuously and live again become stronger. Consequences? Their age will continue to grow rapidly for 13 days, and it can damage their morale as well as physical endurance. A concept game of life and death that really is very interesting of course, let alone the concept still has a strong characteristic like Danganronpa.
Zanki Zero: Last Beginning itself is currently under development for PlayStation 4 and PC. In addition to the inaugural trailer release and some of the above information, unfortunately the developers still have not provided an approximate release date.
