The International Crimes Tribunal has ordered the death sentence of five accused, including Patuakhali's Ishaq Sikder, for crimes against humanity during the War of Liberation.
Justice Md. The three-member tribunal headed by Shahinur Islam gave the verdict on Monday. The other two members of the tribunal are Justice Amir Hossain and Justice Abu Ahmed Jamadar.
The other four accused are Abdul Ghani Hawlader, Abdul Awal alias Maulvi Awal, Abdus Sattar Parda and Solaiman Mridha.
Five accused including Isaac were in jail.
After the arguments of both the parties presented the tribunal case waiting for the verdict on 30 May.
Prosecutor Zaid al Malum and Rezia Sultana held a hearing in the case. The defendants Salam Khan and Abdus Sattar Paloyan were the lawyers.
On Sunday, the tribunal said that the verdict on Monday (Monday) will be given. The verdict of the 34th verdict after the commencement of Tribunal on the war crimes trial was launched in 2010.
