The Screen That Basically Save Lives

in #news7 years ago

Semi-trailers are dangerous and stressful obstacles when drivers try to pass them with thoughts like;can I make it around the truck safely? Is there someone coming that I can't see until I'm halfway into the lane? If I try to pass right now will I die?

Samsung has developed a great means through which things get a little bit easier for other drivers; they've got giant waterproof TVs screen attached to the back so that drivers can see the road ahead before trying to pass. Those screens are hooked up to wireless cameras installed on the front of the truck which broadcasts a live feed of the road to the screens on the back. A night-vision mode for night-time driving is also a wonderful feature of this development.

A paramount advantage of this is that it may reduce the risk of accidents caused by sudden breaking or animals crossing the road. According to Samsung's video, almost one person dies in a traffic accident every hour in Argentina, so the need for something like their 'Safety Truck' is definitely there.

The truck entered testing in Argentina some time back. If the test proves to be successful, it is possible for the technology to be available worldwide later on.
