Mahathir bin Mohammed took oath as the seventh Prime Minister of Malaysia. In the parliamentary elections, Mahatma-led alliance, Pakatan Haripat, achieved historic victory in the elections. Then the country's King Sultan Muhammad Mahathir invited Mohammed to form the next central government. Mahathir took oath in the presence of King Sultan Mohammad in the palace of the palace at 10 pm (local time in Bangladesh) at 10 pm local time.
