It is shocking that a company like IBM would decide that the best way for them to use the blockchain is to help with the sale of legal marijuana... they can't think of anything better? Like maybe developing smart contracts which... IDK... something, anything more useful and to an IBM standard.
Now, just to get this straight, I am not against the legalization of Marijuana and I do realize the profit potential of the market, but I guess I just expect more from a company like IBM.
Anyway, thanks for the news!

I think it is very good from IBM they are one of the biggest pioneers in the use of blockchain technology. IBM wants to provide its knowledge of various technologies to help British Columbia find a mechanism for a save distribution of cannabis. Both producers and distributors of cannabis will benefit from the use of blockchain. IBM has a lot of more blockchain projects like a blockchain collaboration for greater food safety you can read it here or IBM joins the Car-eWallet Cooperation you can read here IBM has signed a contract agreeing to test the application of blockchain in port logistics and global supply chains you can read here and IBM is working on blockchain based education platform you can read here so I think they do a lot of good stuff with blockchain technology and to help the cannabis industry with blockchain solution for a safer distribution and control is a good thing. In the end I am sure it is all about the money and the one who is leading in what ever sector makes the big money.
Thanks for your opinion have a nice day and steem on bro :)
You make a good point about the great improvement of safety and that IBM is also using the Blockchain for other great projects. I guess I support their decision after all.
Thanks for improving my opinion!
