Think about it!
Do people really read some of the Posts or are they only voting because they think they will earn Money.
Having looked at all of the categories it appears that the posts that really earn money are:
Bitshares
Crypto News
Steem Sports
Blockchain
Bitcoin
Daily Poloniex
Crypto in general
Steemit
Steemfest
Fine.... but a lot of these posts people will not really understand.
So why vote if they don't understand ?
I might be wrong but I do think if the post is making money they hope that by latching on they will benefit as well.
Would love to know what peoples views are on this matter???
HI...i'm still relatively new so appreciate this post! I have noticed when i have a lot of upvotes (which is great) there is very little comparision to my viewing (which is a little disappointing). I get a real buzz out of knowing people are reading my work. Don't get me wrong i want to earn money but i also want to promote my writing :-)

I appreciate this post because I just started to post here on Steemit. I am starting to realize the value of this site compared to Facebook, and YouTube. I have been mining crypto-currency for almost a year so I am still trying to figure out the trends of the currency.

In the end it does not matter why a person votes for a post, they have determined they are getting worth from it.
However, the only way to learn is to absorb the information first hand... reading or watching the video. Commenting or discussing will serve to deepen that learning experience,but look it's still better than all the other platforms.
Maybe they (then on readers) will come around in their own time.

Never really thought about it like that but its a good point as I do believe some people are just
clicking their way through anything that is new and they never use the feed button either.
Why shouldn't they understand these topics? Steemit is a firstmover project in the blockchain world so I do not find it weird that these are popular subjects. I think that people here might have problems with understanding other stuff, but most are experts on exactly the crypto topics.
I don't know much about Crypto ( other than slightly misspelled) start to Superman's Home Planet. I was introduced to Steemit by a Friend who knew I had just Been retired without adequate preparation. I have had a pretty exciting life and he assisted me in putting down a few of these life stories. I vote for things I find interesting , and for people that vote for me, is this the wrong thing to do? don't know, but love the fact that we all have different talents, and can share them, and can see things , stories, poetry and places , that I would never otherwise have known about!Hope I have made sense? I don't know much about the posts that really earn money as you mentioned. I joined Steemit not to earn money, but to meet people and to read about what they have to say and to say what I find important in life. That's it really.
