RE: Trump Panics As Michael Flynn Indicted in Russia Scandal, Pleads Guilty

in #news7 years ago (edited)

There's every possiblity that Trump will eventually be impeached given all the controversies that's been stemming from the time of the campaign till now....

With recent developments concerning some members of the campaign and their questionable affiliations the scenario of impeachment keeps getting more probable.

The fact that he keeps trying to sway public opinion through twitter rants and shifting blames is a slight indicator that he might be guilty of colluding with the Russians after all.

I recently saw a post on business insider that said he might also have to testify for the sexual harassment suit being filed against him. Though I'm not American, I don't think the USA has ever had this much controversy trailing a president, this is probably the first time America has a drama king as president too...

It seems that the events, and the publicity available from the internet have come together to make this scene feel as if its been going on for centuries and is worse than any scandal ever, but I wonder if Watergate unfolded before a Twitter audience if this wouldn't seem still more familiar.

I've actually being riding around this particular question in my mind for ages. Had it been Twitter was in existence during the Nixon regime would the people have woken up to the type of tweetstorms they wake up to from POTUS these days.

Frankly, I think Watergate was a more serious and grave issue than this present one.
