I am not really surprised about anything the major news networks do anymore. It has become so apparent to anyone who isn't brainwashed and is paying attention to life just a little bit that the big boys like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, Fox, etc are not reporting news, they are creating news stories and then finding the information necessary to support it. When they can't find the information they just doctor the info they do have until it supports what they want to say.
The is the opposite of journalism. In real journalism you have a bunch of information you gathered and then you present it. If there is a solid conclusion you state that, if it is a matter of opinion or perspective you allow the users to make up their own minds. At no point in journalism are you supposed to intentionally omit certain parts of the story so that the end result can be what you want it to be. Unfortunately, this is what every major news network is doing now. Thankfully a vast majority of people are not fooled as it was recently reported that "less than 20% of the USA population believes what they hear / read from major news outlets."

So you would have to not be paying attention to not know this story already but the way the media initially framed this story was that a group of violent teenagers with Trump-supporting outfits and hats on surrounded and harassed an American Indian and they were chanting "build the wall! build the wall!" This was presented on all the major networks with a left-leaning bias and they talked about it for hours. Why they thought they could get away with this is just unreal because of course someone else was filming it also. Their footage only showed about 30 seconds of the event and included no audio... we were just supposed to take their word on what was being "chanted".

It took 4chan and reddit about an hour to find the real footage (those guys are the real heroes) and in the raw footage it is quickly revealed that the situation was actually precisely the opposite of what the news stations were saying. The boys in the Maga hats were actually being brutally shouted at by a black activist group. This group was shouting lots of racist things at the boys in the red hats and they showed great discipline to not respond to it. This angered the activist group who would become increasingly cruel in their taunts.
Also the 7 minute video shows that the boys in the hats did not move from their spot, they were approached my the American Indian who pounded on the drum just inches from the boy's face and all the boy did was smile, he never reacted at all.
The media should have immediately apologized for this "blunder" (even though it is obvious it was done intentionally) but instead they doubled down accusing the school of other racist things... all of which were debunked within an hour by the no cape wearing heroes over at 4-chan and reddit.
The Covington Catholic High School families who have had their lives turned upside down including death threats from crazy people have secured lawyers and are going to sue all the news networks that intentionally sowed these lies. I don't really like litigation but in this particular situation I hope the kid's families win and win big.
The media are a pack of liars and I would love for there to be consequences for intentionally producing propaganda like this. How I feel about the hats, Trump, or conservatism isn't really relevant here. Lies, even if they support how you feel politically, are not helpful. Just like Zack Morris said in Saved by the Bell
And, Zach Morris was a always caught in lies and hurting people. He sucked. #GoTeamSlater
hahahaha, that made my morning... thanks!
Have you heard about the Gell-Mann amnesia effect?. So nothing new. Yes, media news is trash, people don't trust them anymore, still watch and... make their world understanding based on rubbish or fake news... They forget not to trust the media... mad world...
BTW can you post the link to video you have described?
P.S. As it is, you grab $20+ via upvotes and leave readers with your word against CNN etc word, not providing any proof... Well, we do live in mad world...
lol, your last sentence... that is absolutely correct. Oh no! In my fight against fake news i have become it. :)
The true raw video is nearly 2 hours long and is very boring. However, the above video did a good job of showing the entire incident without any fakery.
Kudos for posting video, have my upvote.
Still, this story lacks. I have no clue what and why all these guys were doing there. Just had a quick look and it seems Old Testament guys (Israeli) had some ugly word exchange with New Testament guys (school boys). Then Native Americans got involved. At then end, despite all this tension that years ago would likely end up in a fight, it somehow dispersed and later some people / media decided to make use of it (money, politics, or fun, whatever).
Good journalism is expensive and difficult. Journalists, bloggers, vloggers just want an easy to produce, quick story that is easy to understand (~ choose one or the other side) while having a quick morning coffee. Then move on to produce another shallow story.
In your main post you took a stance defending one of the sides (boys), your post doesn't explain much. It's easier to paint the world black and white (labour wise) and to choose the side instead of looking at all the shades of the world and maybe even colours.
nice one. I liked the Gell-Mann effect wiki. Interesting read.
To be honest I don't know much about the boys. In order to really understand my point I suppose one would need to be familiar with how CNN and the likes ran wild with the edited video that didn't show what really happened. I feel it is fairly common knowledge that CNN does all that they can to make anything Trump does or anything his supporters do, look bad and this, in my opinion was pretty horrible of them.
The kids didn't actually do anything wrong and it was a good thing that the entire video got out there because they had already falsely been reported as racist bigot anti-immigration blah blah blahs. They were ruining this kid's life in an attempt to make a story out of nothing.
I don't think anyone, regardless of their political leanings would agree with this practice. However, the boys have been vindicated and how the news stations are facing deserved criticism and hopefully some harsh consequences.
It is one thing to get a story wrong, another one entirely to intentionally make a story wrong.
From a journalistic perspective, what I find interesting is that at no point, in no reporting, either the vast swath from the Left or the counter-reactions from the Right have we seen anyone actually try to identify and interview people involved with the Black Israelites.
Here we have adults who are clearly spoiling for a fight and aggressively engaging with teenagers – but they might as well not exist. They are a well-known group which appears at lots of Left activist activities – but they might as well not exist.
The absence of curiosity from the halls of journalism regarding the significant group of instigators gives line to the underlying idea that they are interested in the truth, interested in the people who consume their work knowing what's really going on in the world, and the panoply of other self-justifying garbage they've been throwing around for decades.
Or, as someone much cleverer than myself said, "Journalism is about covering important stories. With a pillow, until they stop moving."
Today's news reminds me of BTN news from that old movie V For Vendetta
lol, aint that the truth. or all the news from the Hunger Games. just complete lies.
Bravo! A definite upvote and resteem, loved your end quote as well!👍👍👍❤🙋
Following you now
That's why I get most of my news from Phillip Defranco now. I don't always agree with his views, but he will actually report some stories a day late as he knows there hasn't been enough time for all the facts to come out and has apologized several times when he's been corrected on things that have been reported wrong even if it's through no fault of his own. He realizes the importance of factual news and has come along way from where he first started.
oh sweet... thanks for the tip. I'll check him out.
They keep this up and hopefully that 20% will go down to 2%. I couldn't work for one of these places and call myself a human being.
New York 9 month abortions
Pedophilic operas on public TV
The hell is going on? News turned into the movies!
One should never apologize for reporting the truth.
