A local man says that incidents such as this are "not unheard of" and that he often has "travelers" coming through his property, who he makes an effort to help if he can. The implication is that this area is a hotbed of illegal immigration traffic, IMHO
It's true, that kind of thing isn't exactly uncommon on that part of town. Especially right along 35
You are doing amazing things for our community on steemit ,hope you will soon doing some meetup in the eastern .Enjoyed those pics and the funny memes.Very lively presentation of the event I felt like being there. @gdenki
Thanks so much for your comments @dongbich Happy to look into some meetups
@gdenki This is so sad. I remember Dateline did a story on people who were trafficked illegally in Houston and how they keep them in backrooms of small bars on Bellaire.
@nadstx I agree. I do a lot of research on human trafficking, particularly children, and it only gets sadder the deeper you get down the rabbit hole. Its a horrifying situation and the lack of attention paid it by those in position to effect the situation is criminal at best. Much of the evidence and data that is now being used to punish pedophillic and pedophobic sex offenders all over the world was crowd-sourced, which is inspiring and maddening at the same time. Thanks for stopping by.
