If this looks like if it came out of a horror film, big storm coming your way, massive traffic impedes you from escaping. Perhaps somebody should write it.
Picture yourself on driver seat. You suffer the risk of running out of gas, you can't have your AC on (even though it's pretty warm outside) so you're all sweated on an never-ending TRAFFIC JAM of apocalyptic proportions! With no restrooms near buy people decide to pee and evacuate on the grass, but they don't realize they're not the only ones. The smell. THE SMELL makes you dizzy. You decide pee then step on somebody else's evacuation.
Then there's the ill. The people that need medical care, the diabetics, the high blood pressure patients who perhaps forgot to bring their medicines. You want to help people but you have your own family to worry about. Ignore and keep going.
