China has recently shifted gears to curb pollution in a unique way.
It has assigned a mammoth task of planting trees in 32000 square miles in order to increase their forest by 2% of its total land by the end of 2020.
China has been suffering from heavy smog in past few years and now the problem has reached to its peak.
In order to achieve this task china has deployed 60000 soldiers in addition to their armed police force.
Now the million dollar question is: Will this step solve their problem?
Because china has already forest coverage of 21% and the country is still suffering from significant amount of smog.
Adding 2 percent to its forest cover will certainly help but the quality of air in the country will improve or not is uncertain.
By taking up the task to increase its forest cover, china is asking some serious question to the rest of the world.
Should other countries follow the same method?!
Or switching to electrical vehicles is the ultimate solution?!
Or both?
