UN calls for global support for Rohingya and locals

The United Nations has urged greater international aid and solidarity for local residents of Cox's Bazar, about 11 lakh Rohingyas and their asylum seekers displaced from Myanmar. UNHCR chief Philippe Grundy, the High Commissioner for Refugees, urged the company.

A media release said on Thursday that only 26 percent of the UN joint-planning plan for the Rohingya refugees who took shelter in Bangladesh was deposited in the fund. The rest is still uncertain. High Commissioner Philipo Gandy, who arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday, visited the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Wednesday, returning on Wednesday. High Commissioner Philippe Gready said on Thursday that Bangladesh is openly open their borders for Rohingya refugees when the border is closed on the face of the asylum seekers in the world. For many other countries in the world, it is a teaching of humanity, who are doing the opposite work.

The notification said that the touring delegation went to the world's largest refugee camp in Kutupalang, Cox's Bazar to see Rohingya refugees on Monday. They talk to newbie refugees at a transit center, operated with UNHCR. The center is currently receiving 50 Rohingyas every week. They also visit a feminine area, a primary health care center and a newly-built area. Recently, hundreds of Rohingyas have been shifted to protect them from the extreme risk of landslides and floods.
