Israeli planes attacked dozens of targets in Gaza on Sunday (3/6/2018), after shelling Palestinian projectiles slid and destroyed a ceasefire reached a few days ago.

The latest attack came hours after thousands of Palestinians attended the funeral of a female paramedic hit by Israeli troops on the Gaza border.

In fact, a ceasefire has been agreed on Wednesday (30/05/2018) to end the biggest battle since the war 2014.

In the first wave of air strikes on the day, the Israeli military said its fighter jets pounded 10 terror sites in three military areas belonging to the Hamas group on the Gaza border.

"Among the targets are two Hamas guns and storage sites and one military area," the military statement said.

The attack was a countermeasure against rockets fired into Israeli territory.

"Also various terror activities organized by the Hamas terror organization over the weekend," the Israeli military said.

Hours after the first attack, Israeli planes shot five terror targets at a military compound belonging to Hamas naval forces in the northern Gaza Strip.

So far, there have been no reports of casualties in Gaza.

On Saturday (2/6/2018) night, troops in the Palestinian enclave fired two projectiles in southern Israel.

The Iron Dome air defense system successfully dispels one projectile, while the other is believed to have fallen far short of its target and landed on Gaza.

On Sunday (6/3/2018) morning, four projectiles were launched separately, three of which could be intercepted, and the rest fell on open ground.

No group in Gaza has claimed responsibility for the protective strikes.

Funeral volunteers

Razan Al-Najar, a Palestinian medical volunteer who was shot dead in the chest while trying to rescue the wounded demonstrators in the Gaza Strip on Friday (1/6/2018).
Razan al-Najjar (21), a Gaza health ministry volunteer, was shot in the chest on Friday (1/6/2018) at the dean of Khan Yunis.
Thousands of Palestinians attended his funeral on Saturday (2/6/2018).

The ambulance and medical crew also attended Najjar's funeral. Najjar's father was seen holding a white medical suit with blood stains.

On Sunday (06/06/2018), Gaza health spokesman Ashraf Al Qudra announced the death of Mohammad Hamada (30) who was injured in the clash on 14 May.

Hamada's death added to the number of Gazans killed by Irael fire since late last March to 124.

Since March 30, 2018, Gaza residents protested at the border to demand the return of Palestinians to their land after being expelled and fled during the war in 1948.

The demonstrations were accompanied by minor clashes triggered by youths who threw stones at Israeli soldiers and attempted to penetrate the border fence.

Not infrequently, they install an explosive device on the fence or throw a grenade. Meanwhile, Israeli troops retaliated with bullet fire and tear gas.

Violence peaked on May 14, 2018, when 61 Palestinians were killed in a demonstration protesting the transfer of the US embassy to Israel to a clashed Jerusalem.
