RE: Major news outlets labeling Russel Brand defenders as "conspiracy theorists"

I do take exception to your verbiage, "I am not suggesting that we should automatically assume that Brand is innocent", and in fact, the truth is that the big wrong is in assuming that someone, most anyone, is judged guilty before any judicial due process.

Very true. Yes, "I suggest that we assume no guilt until such time as due process has established such".

Though I do neither care about R. Brand nor J. Rogan in the sense that it's not my business to judge them, since they have nothing to do with me.
Since we, the peoples, became excellent marketers through intense media use ourselves, it's their names who sell "our" contents. I find it odd to talk about public figures like somehow we know them. Even if there is plenty research material out there, I ask why shall it be of interest to me (or you), to read into it in the first place? Though I neither pity nor defend someone who stands in the spot light. It's a self chosen existence within media.

I would add that talking about others reveals more about the talker than the other. Talking about others with attitude was called in the old days "gossip", while meanwhile it seems that gossiping got into the salon but never got out.

What makes me anxious is the judging mentality in general. I try to avoid that and hope someone puts my nose into it, in case I fail in doing so.

Indeed it does. That is so true! Thank you for sharing your thoughts too on the matter, @erh.germany 🙂

Kindest regards,
