Well, that’s a turn of events.
In the hours after the Singapore Grand Prix, news broke of a couple who allegedly bribed security to get onto the Marina Bay circuit and take a photo. Since that report came out, multiple news sites jumped on it, and Grand Prix organizers vowed to investigate the matter.
However, it looks like there is nothing to investigate. In a recent Facebook post, the husband of the couple said,
Ok, time to come clean. There was no bribery, no corruption, no nothing. The barriers were down, the gates open. I asked the guard if he would take a photo of us and he kindly agreed. There were others on the track also, one guy even skateboarding around it others just jogging. There was more spice on the story than Christian Horner on his honeymoon. See you at the Malaysian GP as long as I can raise the bail money.
So there we have it, it was a completely legal photo and the couple decided to have fun with it. Below is a photo of the couple without blurred faces. What do you think of this joke? Was it too far, or just mild humor that got taken seriously? Sound off in the comments below!

Interesting shows how pictures can be used as a tool for manipulation.
Very much so! And news spreads fast!
