Bill Gates wants global surveillance because of malaria. Increased investment in satellite surveillance of mosquitoes is needed to eradicate malaria, the Microsoft founder Bill Gates has said. “Malaria is a patchy disease," he said. "We need to understand the patches. This requires data down to the district level or even lower. Advances in satellite imaging and machine learning will make it much easier to build surveillance systems that operate at this kind of resolution." He wants to also release genetically modified mosquitos. For which we don't know what kinda effect it would have, probably would bring much more evil than good. Malaria is mostly present in the poorest regions, it could be significantly decreased by simply helping to bring these people up rather than this, which could be an excuse to bring us closer to global surveillance.

This could complicate the official narrative. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has claimed that Moscow dictated where U.S., British and French forces were allowed to attack in the weekend's air strikes on suspected Syrian chemical weapons facilities. Russia had been in contact with the coalition in the days leading up to the attack, dictating its “red lines” beyond which air strikes would be considered unacceptable.

The British army is creating a special force of Facebook warriors, skilled in psychological operations and use of social media to engage in unconventional warfare in the information age. The 77th Brigade, to be based in Hermitage, near Newbury, in Berkshire, will be about 1,500-strong and formed of units drawn from across the army. It will formally come into being in April.

In a rare case on mainstream news, professor Jeffrey Sachs on MSNBC talked about Syria, on how we should leave Syria and how this civil war CIA helped to bring about. Specifically CIA operation "Timber Sycamore" you should look up, he said.

Ukraine has made new moves towards joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, which would cross a Russian “red line” and further deteriorate U.S.-Russia relations, argues Will Porter.
