Internet Connections can be sent using peer-to-peer Ham Radio links
**The only prerequisites are: **
(1) a ham radio license issued by the Federal Communications Commission (requirements have been greatly relaxed compared to the old days): http://www.arrl.org/getting-licensed
(2) a knowledge of computer networking (or a network-savvy friend who will work for pizza and SBDs ;)
Since a ham license is issued by the FCC, it should theoretically override state laws. If the internet ever breaks down, being able to access information using radio links could be a lifesaver.
Broadband Over Radio Wireless Mesh Network Experimentation for Emergency Communications
So...a large military drill, over a large area of the US. Ok...let’s get ready for another false flag event while the military is too busy in a drill to respond.
Wow nice internet
When the net started in Romania it was hundreds of small businesses each serving a small area, but in time things consolidated in a few big ones. Then again it led to fantastic internet in big cities, which is still the case today. No net neutrality needed, just competition.
Hurray for Romania! I wonder if this is also the case for other countries in Eastern and Central Europe?
As competitors are purchased or succumb to market pressures and fold, competition evaporates, and is replaced with monopolies.
Then shit begins to sux0r.
But your pessimistic scenario doesn't HAVE to happen. Free internet is widely available in East Asia. In Taipei, for example, free internet is available in convenience stores, rapid transit, city buses, coffee shops and many other places.
There's plenty of Wifi hotspots free to customers of various stores in the USA also.
I'd like very much to see mesh networks take over the last mile. Of course, there's a lot of things I'd like to see I never will =p
While it's true monopolies don't have to start charging more when competition drops off, they always do.
One important fact is that the Taiwan government takes an active interest in making the internet widely available, instead of making allowing it to be slow and priced out of reach, as is the case in many parts of the US.
We are struggling with monopolies here. I hope you don't.
Corruption is a fact of life, no matter where you live. Taiwanese expect their politicians to steal (it's an open secret that certain lawmakers have underworld connections).
Average citizens just hope and pray that the lawmakers get a few important things done and don't steal too much ;-)
The fact that many politicians' families were literally dirt poor only two generations ago also helps (we don't have an imperial capital).
great informative post. @corbettreport. thanks for sharing . i like your post and following.
A one stop destination to all the happening events/news. Appreciate it.
I pity the guy who was fired for the wrong button press for false missile alert.
Retired military personnel maintain that the "one-man error" is an impossible scenario. Several people are normally required to coordinate their efforts and press several buttons in succession. The official story is very suspicious.
Wonderful informative post @corbettreport thanks for sharing I have being following you for a very longtime now you are my favorite God bless you for me.
Very good information @corbettreport, this is very useful for everyone, especially for people who live in one country with you. I can not enjoy cheap internet. In my country, the internet is very expensive. Thanks for sharing...

Thanks James for excellent news overview and links. This is what the MSM should be broadcasting on their channels and not the drivel that we see. Good work - your effort is appreciated!🏆
Thank you. This episode provided lots of food for thought. Resteemed to increase exposure!
We need holistic solutions. Where all parts of the system are considered. You won't get that through computers. Computers lack empathy. Everything in life almost every issue could be switched to a more holistic approach. True natural foods, grow in permaculture gardens and forests. This could solve a lot of the environmental, food problems around the world. It would also effect their money system. Their are other examples. Community building is essential for these solutions. Just start and see what happens.
