President Donald Trump changed his story Saturday on why he fired Michael Flynn as his national security adviser, now suggesting he knew at the time that Flynn had lied to the FBI as well as to Vice President Mike Pence about his contacts with Russians during the presidential transition.

That was a turnabout from his initial explanations that Flynn had to go because he hadn't been straight with Pence about those contacts. Lying to the FBI is a crime, and one that Flynn acknowledged Friday in pleading guilty and agreeing to co-operate with the special counsel's Russia investigation.

Trump's tweet: "I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!"

Trumpists are shouting and pointing trying to distract from this story but it just keeps getting worse for Trump and co.

Hey at least he said he was guilty

The best ADVERTISEMENT for a decentralized system is none other than President Trump. Whether you like him or not is not the issue; the rise and (potential) fall of Trump has exposed the secretive workings of the current centralized political system to the public at large. The public is open to something new.Now centralized systems are starting to be replaced by blockchain tech, and the creative DAPPS that follow. The world needs blockchain. Trusting Trump or any other politician/group is against the principle of decentralized sharing.

Time will tell

LOL don't be so silly. The recording was obviously legal.

Recording was legal and the lie was a big enough deal to get him fired according to Trump today. I'm sorry you don't like the facts, I can see this is really triggering you.

No probs, I'm not triggered.
Just trying to offer an different viewpoint for consideration.
