I can nor confirm or deny the article, but in my mind the claim were possibly made after some tests produced earthquake like conditions. Because the nk government is so elusive we are sort of left to guessing, and it sounds to me like an educated guess. Its like saying that the earth shook and the ground settled two inches...people will proably think that some sort of tunnel collapsed.

Nobody but the North Koreans can confirm or deny it (which they won't do). Is it possible? Maybe. Does any western news agency have proof? No. So it comes down to what you can call gossip.

Yes, it could be classified as gossip, however it is the kind of gossip that if it is not done then alot of people could die. Therefore I feel that the information should be filed under speculation.
It is just a news article without any reputable source, therefore let's just use the modern terminology and call it fake news.
