Another one of those things, were people think they have some knowledge because they saw it in a movie/TV show.

The only one that was close to accurate was War Games.

All the others show a hacker furiously typing to save the universe.
In reality, if they don't already have the tools loaded, they are just screwed.

Movie world -
Hacker types furiously, then presses enter at the last moment.

Real world.
Programmer types furiously for hours. Then tells it to compile.
Waits (usually long enough to get coffee) and the computer spits out all these errors that need to be fixed. repeat.

What makes me furious is how much censoring Boogle is doing to search results. As in, I type in an exact title of something I looked up before... and find it 3 pages down.

War Games was pre-internet revolution when we did mostly dial up modem and yes it was close to accurate at the time. The show Mr. Robot has had a few accurate moments, at least more accurate than most. Yet, some of it is still fabricated.
