From what I read in another article, the police are trying to explain their reaction as "gun+marijuana". The police chief is claiming: 'When you’re in possession of marijuana and you have a gun, that’s a public safety issue." Unfortunately, mounting evidence seems to be that a more accurate statement may be: "When you’re in possession of a badge and you have a gun, that’s a public safety issue."

I read the same thing after posting this. Drug war is a failure so everyone should have a right to cannabis, if they want it.
