On Saturday, August 12th, the planet Mercury turns stationary retrograde at 11 degrees and 38 minutes of Virgo at 06:01PM, pacific time. Mercury's retrograde cycle will continue until Sept. 5th. As usual, avoid misunderstandings and be crystal clear in your communications with others. Important decisions and purchases, especially of communication or mechanical devices, are best postponed during this phase
Mercury in Virgo will be in a close opposition, (180 degrees), to Neptune in Pisces until the Solar Eclipse on the 21st. Beware of "blind spots." Make sure you are seeing things and others clearly. Don't take anything at face value.
Really pay close attention to details, even if it means taking out your magnifying glass! It can be easy to overlook things during this period. Emotions can also run deeper and there can be a connection to people, places, and things from the past. Be realistic and practical. Avoid projecting your hopes and wishes onto others.
Mercury's retrograde in Virgo through August 30th is an ideal time to re-examine, change, and improve daily habit patterns related to work, health, diet, and fitness. This is a good period to get better organized and discard or donate stuff from the past you no longer need.
On Thursday, August 31st, Mercury re-enters the sign of Leo until Sept. 9th. This brings more of a shift back into the realm of fun, recreation, or romance in your life. There is the desire for creative self expression and communicating your ideas to others.
This Mercury retrograde cycle concurs with the total Solar Eclipse on the 21st. It is a high energy period. It can be a turbulent time in the world with a lot of false information, (Mercury opposed Neptune), floating around. Be discriminating about what you see or hear and keep a cool head. This is a time to lay low this month and deal with any unfinished matters from the past. It's also good for self reflection.
