BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:45 P.M.) - The Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) carried out a deadly ambush against the Turkish Army in northern Iraq this week, Genla TV reported.
According to the report, the outlawed PKK group attacked a Turkish Army post in the Diyala Governorate of Iraq, resulting in the death of two soldiers and the capture of this site.
As shown in the go pro footage below, the PKK forces were able to overwhelm the Turkish soldiers at this military post and seize the area:
Currently, the PKK and Turkish military are involved in a fierce battle in northern Iraq, as the latter attempts to eliminate the Kurdish group's presence in the region.
