Fire breaks out on roof of the Trump Tower of NYC

A small fire broke out on the roof of Trump Tower on Monday morning, injuring three people officials said.

Smoke was seen billowing off the top of the Manhattan skyscraper, carrying for several blocks.

The cause of the fire on the roof of Manhattan's Trump Tower wasn't immediately clear.
Firefighters were called to the Fifth Ave. skyscraper, located at East 56thSt., at about 7:20 Monday morning.

The blaze appeared to break out in the building’s heating and cooling system, the FDNY said.

They quickly knocked the fire down, but firefighters are currently making sure it didn’t spread.

Fire crews are responding to a fire at Trump Tower. There have been no injuries or evacuations, and the President is not currently at Trump Tower.

Two civilians and one firefighter suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including one man who was taken away on a stretcher.

the commander-in-chief maintains a palatial apartment in the 58-story tower. The President was in Washington at the time of the fire.
