While cryptocurrency is a new platform for film funding, it works on a similar model to other investment models outside cryptocurrency where 100% of the first moneys in goes to the investors until the original investment is paid off. Thereafter, 50% of all profits—through to residuals—goes to the investors and 50% is divided among producers, distributors, and actors. For example: If we raise enough Ether to convert to $5M USD for the film. The film makes $20M USD. The original $5M USD plus $7.5M USD is converted back to Ether and the value of your VCAP increase.
