#newbieresteemday is indeed an awesome initiative. My first post got 18 upvotes because of it - a huge confidence boost, because I'd had no idea what to post before that.

Now I realize I can post whatever I want to, really. I think of it as a public diary, where I can write about my day to day thoughts and experiences, and have like-minded folks with similar interests respond to it and thus contribute to my knowledge. Nothing better :)
