It sounds frustrating, but as with any great product out there it took determination and hard work to get it to in fact become a great product in the first place. I think you are doing a great job so far, and hey the best thing to do is walk away to see if you like the work you have done, at least thats what I do say, when I am rearranging furniture, or redecorating....as far as the logistics of putting all of the newbie guides etc on the page, are you rewriting them also or just linking them to the page? Wish I knew more about building websites, but I am lame in that department lol, I hope to help as best as I know how. Take a deep breath and keep on steemin on my new friend!!! YOU GOT THIS!

It is but time well spent me thinks. I'm having to write them and design the various menu items as I go at the moment. I was supposed to be being assisted with this by a good friend who works in web development, but we had a scheduling mix up so on I go on my own, though I'm being advised by phone through the process. I left my occupation last year due to all of the sudden having money to have time due to cryptocurrency rises, but sadly a number of my closest didn't buy large like I did 5 years ago so they have normal jobs, and normal schedules. I am rather rubbish at web site development and my understanding is basic. However I'm using a made easy service which is taking a great deal of the sting out, though I have found that it doesn't like Steemit plugins, I'm managing to get around this. I'm hoping people like yourself can keep carrying the initiative forward for a few more days while I sort this out. Ideally I want those participating in the capacity that yourself and other founders are, to be able to place their posts around the initiative on the site. I have a rather smart blog scroll that I'm setting up which will allow me to integrate a Steemit vote button for the various bits on the scroll. Of course all of this is mind numbingly tedious and being balanced against other things schedule wise, but I hope to have it flying by Sunday. If it meets with you guys approval I'll upgrade it to solidify the domain name and we are off. If you communicate with other members of our effort could you let them know I am working hard and haven't disappeared please?I'm not quite as skilled as @davemccoy in community building and if he becomes busy with other things and I'm tied up with site development and full Steemit integration into the site, I don't want it to look like I or @davemccoy have abandoned or lost interest in the effort. Again, I'm in your debt for your support and you helping us with this effort. :)
sounds very tedious, but I bet you are a perfectionist (not a bad thing) huh!? I will definitely keep the newbieresteemday peeps informed as to what is going on for sure! @davemccoy will be surpassing @surpassinggoogle if he keeps it up lol I really love the sense of community I have gotten from coming to the steemit platform! Absolutely beautiful! I'm just a shout away!!!
You my dear are a star. :) :) :)
Aww, now your just stroking me ego a bit lol
Nahhhh. Lol.
I don't have to go far to find our friends.. we all hang out in the same circles lol... and she is I agree ;)
I'm passing along a message to you, @charisma777, and @plushzilla about a contest to win 2000 SP...
here is a contest that I just told @plushzilla about... I don't know if you, him, or mudcat36 want to give it a go but it could be a homerun if one of you get it... (I got nominated by @beeyou already)... but it would be great if any of the 3 of you win it too... It doesn't matter to me who gets the SP, what matters is we get some power to solidify and strengthen our group.
here is the link if any of the 3 of you want to take it on. 2 days left.

And btw, great job everyone... I love it when people just get things done. :)
Right'o. The design of the website carries on at pace and every free moment I have is being devoted to that, once it's up and running I hope it provides a feature packed location for the initiative. If you wan to email me for up dates @davemccoy you can reach me at steemitnewbieresteeminitiative@gmail.com
This is so I can keep you abreast of things and you have a direct line of contact to me. I will be slow in providing resteems, but this is due to hard work being done on other parts to provide a streamlined service to new comers to steemit. If you reach out to me by email I can respond more in full on progress. Kind regards @davemccoy and everyone helping with this.
don't worry about the resteems... lol
We got you covered ;) ... and keep doing your thing, as we all seem to be moving well together even though we are moving on separate issues. The awesomeness of this is sometimes surreal.
I am thinking that we could give a "post-boost" upvote to all the "volunteers" that have been out there doing resteems and constests and supporting those contests. I'm thinking of just hitting each person with a 0.10 SBD upvote on their project... My guess is this will cost about 2 to 3 SBD (I will only hit each person once, so mulitple helpers won't drain me dry) ... Do I have your approval to spend this from my pool that is building?
Let me know... also keep up the awesome work... and we'll catch up over the weekend.
Absolutely. I have a couple of my old blog post that are from before we started this initiative that are due to pay out today so I can send you what comes from those. May I please ask a favor of you? You mentioned a sort of structure that really appealed to me when you suggested role titles. I.e. scout, teacher, etc. I'm in the process of writing the menu pages, then I will be setting up our discord channel and writing in the code to dovetail it to the site. (I still have mountains of work in regards to adding things on as features, short cuts, widgets, etc) As the writing of the pages is growing to be a long process, would you be able to write in word and email me an explanation of a suggested structure of titles as you did in the message before please? It will be on our JOIN US page on the websites main menu. So for instance I have covered WHAT IS STEEMIT, ABOUT US, CONVERTING YOUR STEEMIT TO CASH, etc. On the JOIN US page I'd like it to be a call to recruitment if you will. An explanation of how from the whale to the plankton everyone can take part, what type of roles they can choose or flit between, (you can title them as you see fit. You are really good with the catchy stuff I have found) and how that structure of support strengthens Steemit as a whole. One experienced user resteeming one newbie at a ranking of 25 once a week isn't a huge thing. But if that experienced user went out looking for that newbie as part of the initiative we have launched then it means an ideology of support is taking hold and we are impacting Steemit behavior in a positive way. A contagion that manifests through symptoms of support and positivity basically. If you choose to do the write up can you send it to me in an email please? I will be creating a post on Steemit announcing our launch with the website featured and I don't want cheetah flagging it. Thank you for everyhting you are doing @davemccoy. It is mind blowing how far you have been able to take this already. I can assure you that I am being painstakingly meticulous in creating a site that all of these amazing people can call home. I want the facilities available for people to talk, connect one on one, and a place to feature the best of the best of those we help and those that help us. Once I have it built I will require your input before I launch. I opened a couple accounts today with internet traffic providers so once we are up and running I will be investing in those to increase the websites exposure on google and other popular search engines. I know this may sound unethical, but I want our effort to stand out above others who would charge for a resteem or guidance and support....So basically I see it as competitive rather than unethical. After all we are doing a selfless thing here. Thank you again,I can't put words to the sheer amount of gratitude I have for you in all that you do.
PS: the email to contact me is in the message I sent you before this directly above your last comment to me.
