I still consider myself a Splinterlands newbie, so I haven't posted yet about my game experience (truth: it's awesome, loving this game so much more than expected) nor any of my battles (sometimes I'm lucky, most often it's, erhm, a learning experience let's say 😅).
BUT! I just had to post about tonight, as you'll soon see why.
For the first time, I made an effort this past season to raise my rating in Ranked Battles, rented some extra cards to boost my power, and finally got into Silver League yesterday. Not a huge deal, overall, but hey for me it got me a bit more used to the stress of ranked battles. I'm not particularly competitive by nature, and any type of social interaction, and worse, confrontation, makes my anxiety spike through the roof. But I managed to get it done, with help from my sweetie @blutengel , so I'm kinda proud about that small accomplishment 😊
For cuteness' sake, here's a pic of another of my helpers, I bet she helped me secure at least one win.
Anyway! All that to say that I was really looking forward to opening for the first time ever, 12 season rewards chests!
And oh my, was it worth it?
YES, so worth it!!
My first Legendary card! And not one, but 2 gold foils! Got to say I'm really happy with this, and it's definitely motivation to keep making an effort to raise my battle rating. I know I can't expect every season rewards reveal to be like this, frankly this is going to be hard to beat, but a girl can dream right? 😁
Now come the hard decisions, should I rent these out, or keep them in my everyday playing cards? Maybe only the gold foils, since I don't really have the summoner levels required to play them at level 3? I look forward to any tips and advice from more seasoned players, let me know what you think!
