A Newbi in a new world

Wow, now I've actually landed on PeakD and I have to admit that I have absolutely no idea about this.

Nevertheless, I'm going to spend some time here and share my progress here as a total newcomer and advanced age (50 years), but also my frustrating setbacks.

Please forgive me for only writing here when I have the time. In fact, I have to take care of 2 jobs: the shop business, which is going more or less badly, and my regular job as a sales agent for an old and the first telecoms provider in Germany.

Where I partly wonder why they want to stay with them as they missed out on decades of digitalisation.

Good enough about that. Now I'm going to look around here a bit and take a look at the beautiful new blockchain world and leave my first impressions in the next post.

But it should not go unmentioned that @powerpaul is to blame for my being here now. After all, I'm supposed to administer his server. Which is nothing new for me, after all, I've been doing it for 20 years. Only blockchain is new to me. Of course I've heard of it and had something to do with cryptocurrency in my head, as I remembered that Bitcoin is one of these currencies and has more of an aftertaste of illegal transactions.

Yes, I also heard about Etherium and the Decentralised Autonomous Organisation. I wonder how that can work successfully. An organisation without clear leadership? A totally new idea for me that also makes me a little curious about what is possible there.

I don't want to stop at curiosity, I also want to understand the technology behind it and learn how to implement it.

Preferably for Python and the Django or flask web framework. Unfortunately, there hasn't been too much about it so far.

The questions I have are how do I integrate Hive into a login on websites with the above mentioned tools.

It's all very ominous and confusing for me at the moment.
