Why are Americans anxious to buy guns after a new crown of pneumonia?

in #new5 years ago

For Chinese, the first response to an emergency situation is to try to get some food first; to the American civilians, the first response is to try to buy more guns.

It's all about saving lives. At this point, we have the same goal.

Because of the new crown virus, the mayor of San Francisco London Brid announced on February 25 that the city was in a state of emergency.

With the announcement, gunback sales at the San Francisco-based gun shop Fightback247 increased by 45% and ammunition sales increased by 130% in three days.

"Some gun shops were flooded with civilians who bought out of stock."

"It's a habit I've developed since that big riot in 1992."

"I never worry about not having enough food, I just worry that my firepower is not strong enough," said William Jefferson, a red-necked man who grew up in Los Angeles.

The origin of the new crown virus is unknown, and some reports abroad point to the United States.

Although there are currently only 60 confirmed diagnoses in the United States (as of February 28), the momentum has gradually started to cause panic.

5.jpg

Rushing to Wal-Mart run ammunition and stocking at least 500 rounds for each gun at hand was considered by many American civilians to be more urgent than storing cans and masks.

Worrying more than the virus is the armed mob that may follow. Americans with a little memory know this dim sum.

Whether or not this war of epidemic resistance can be won depends to a large extent on the strength of individual armaments.

Why do you buy bullets now

Also in Orange County, California, local gun sales increased sharply after the new crown virus emergency was announced on February 26.

Even gun shops have begun to sell 72-hour emergency meal packages, which are balanced in nutrition and vegetarian food, making the index finger of the trigger more stable and powerful.

"I have Glock 22 and Winchester M70 at home, but I still bought a more powerful AR-15 automatic assault rifle within three hours of an emergency. It uses a 5.56 mm NATO bullet and can be used at 600 Shoot your head out of the yard. "

Although AR-15 was defined as illegal in California, high school teacher Chris Redfield did not conceal his firmness and walked out of the television footage without saying a word.

"This is valuable experience, and if there is a riot-you know, it will happen-sufficient firepower is the only guarantee that you will not be robbed and raped."

Housewife Emma Friedman looked confident in the face of the reporter.

In the United States, whenever society encounters an emergency, riots are basically a law.

Regardless of natural disasters or social protests, they eventually lead to almost inevitable results.

The near paranoid preparations for a possible impending riot are not unfounded by Americans.

Only American talents who have experienced disasters understand that sufficient firepower not only fulfills your freedom, but also protects your survival.

You never know viruses and thugs who come to you first.

On the night of July 13, 1977, just because of a power outage, a large-scale arson and robbery occurred in New York.

After dawn, the news was full of damaged shops and young people running out with new TVs.

G.jpg

In just one night, more than 1,600 shops were damaged, more than 1,000 fires broke out, and 3,776 people were arrested by police, the largest arrest in the city's history.

"When firefighters fought the fire throughout the city, they became targets of thug attacks."

"Even the police were overwhelmed at the scene and had to retreat early, otherwise the number of arrests would rise." Time magazine wrote.

In 1992, the brutal beating of a black driver in protest of four police officers triggered one of the worst riots in American history.

Thousands of people have responded to the verdict of the assaulting police being acquitted. Massive arson, beatings and robbery that lasted for six days left 53 dead and injured thousands.

Until the National Guard calmed the riots, more than 1,000 buildings were burned, and the damage was nearly $ 1 billion.

"My hardware store was ransacked because of this riot, so I broke my property." Roland Robak, 65, still remembers the fire that day.

After Hurricane Katrina made landfall in 2005, the winds of robbery in New Orleans also increased.

The local chaos has become the clearest portrayal of anarchism. The robbers openly confronted the police, burning, looting and rape, and then shooting the police.

Shooting between armed groups and police has resulted in many deaths and the situation is extremely chaotic.

The pressure on the police was too heavy, and the two police officers even committed suicide. More than 200 people surrendered their badges and offered to resign.

After a night of riots, fires, and smashing, the streets of Baltimore in 2015 looked like war zones.

Buildings and cars were engulfed in flames throughout the city, and countless businesses and shops were looted and damaged.

Many police officers were seriously injured.

The person who smashed the police car is like a rock star, receiving tribute from the roof

"They thought it was lovely to throw stones at the police," said injured police officer Anthony Butts.

"Cities that have been built by countless people over generations were destroyed by thugs overnight, they destroyed in a meaningless way many of the people they were fighting for, causing extreme damage to the residents of the community." Mayor Stephanie Rawlins-Blake said.

A "victor"

Buying more guns is the basic operation when panic occurs. In a sense, the security of American society is based on mutual deterrence between ordinary people.

"Americans are controlled by insecurity. In addition to the threat of terrorism, Americans are killed hundreds of times each year by terrorists."

"It makes us so obsessed with real and imagined threats, and tries to weave a story with guns in our hands to overcome fear to comfort ourselves. This is how we feel happy and contented."

Greg Lee Carter, a professor of sociology at Bryant University, wrote in the book "Firearms in American Society."

You rob
We shot

Shoot when you rob us

The housewife and mother carrying a powerful shotgun to the supermarket is not fancy. If you try to be against her, she may not hesitate to scoop you into a sieve.

"If you have a gun in your hand, at least you can maintain a balance of deterrence between strangers. If you don't have a gun, you are always at a disadvantage."

S.jpg

"In an emergency situation, no one can be truly safe. A gun can at least give you a pre-emptive action when the mob poses a lethal threat to you."

After watching the news of Hurricane Katrina, more and more Americans are convinced that the possession of firearms is important for self-defense.

Robbers will be killed
Let alone kill

As Korean-Americans who spontaneously organized themselves to protect themselves and their property from the insurrection in the Los Angeles riots have proven in history, if the U.S. government cannot protect you from the threat of crime, the only thing you can rely on is tight hands Holding that gun.
