I wrote about NEO 6 months ago when it was called Antshares and only $5. I talked about the White Paper and elements I love about NEO. I predicted the price would hit $60 and GAS (then called AntCoin) would hit $20 in the near future (it was $2 then). NEO reached that mark quicker than expected and as of today 1/1/2018 NEO hit an all time high of about $90 and GAS got as high as $36.00 on Binance. So where do I see NEO going from here? Honestly the sky is the limit and the NEO train is just leaving the station!
NEO has 27 ICO's already scheduled in 2018 and many teams are leaving Ethereum to look and build their projects on the NEO Blockchain. HashPuppies is ready to get started (NEO's answer to CryptoKitties). Da Hongfei, NEO's founder is very active with NEO and believes NEO is not a Chinese Ethereum but rather a world smart economy. They want to digitalize everything and literally create an economy running on the NEO Blockchain.
A few things I love about NEO is that it is not a currency, it's a platform made to be incorporated into fiat systems in the world. Highly regulated countries like China will opt for crypto platforms like NEO as it complies within the country's strict regulations. China has been developing Blockchain technologies for several years and they want to be a world leader in this field. Da Hongfei is also part of this Blockchain development called Onchain in China. Do you think it's a coincidence NEO has been working closely with the Chinese government for several years? In 2018 NEO will explode!
My favorite aspect about NEO is the GAS. Remember you can't mine NEO but if you simply hold NEO you will receive GAS. The more NEO you hold (Shares) the more GAS you get (AntCoins). There's only a 100 million supply of NEO and an equal supply for GAS. There are currently 65 million NEO circulating and the rest will slowly be implemented. GAS has a circulating supply of only 9 million and it will be slowly released. Currently it's releasing 8 GAS per block, this year it will lower to 7 GAS per block, followed by 6 next year, then 5, 4, 3, 2, and then only 1 GAS per block for the remaining 22 years when the total supply will be out there. As NEO grows, the demand of GAS will grow dramatically shooting its price way up. It's very possible that the price of GAS becomes more than the price of NEO for this reason.
So where do I see NEO going in 2018? NEO will hit $100 by mid to late January. NEO will hit $200+ soon after and I personally feel it can hit the $500+ range, it's that solid of a project. I see the GAS following and hitting $50 in January, then $150+ later this year and it could skyrocket to the $300 range. HODL NEO and earn GAS and BUY GAS while it's CHEAP!
So many things I'd want to invest in - but not enough cash.
However, I truly wish that I would have been in the crypto game before the rise of NEO / antshares. I love the movie - matrix - and I'd def would have bought it, simply because of the name..
It's not too late. Buy what you can afford, even just 1.

I kept telling myself "ehh I already missed it. Bitcoin is already $2200 it's already way too high." I did this again at $3300 and $4,000 before finally buying in a little later.
Think about ETH price right now and what you would do to be able to buy it at $100 - $200 again.
Also, as I'm told so often, don't worry about buying whole Neo's. Whatever you can afford - $5 a week, $100 a month - whatever, that's what you want to throw at what you believe in.
I loved the low supply and from Asia. I would load up on gas too at this cheap price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙂
For those who are not aware, you could also park your neo in wallet and get GAS whilst waiting for the price appreciation ...

Some exchanges allow you to earn gas now e.g. Binance. Obviously missing out on GAS earnings is a nightmare. Cannot really go wrong with the NEON Wallet (backed and funded by the NEO Council).

I agree totally. GAS GAS GAS!!! Get it while it's hot! Would have been nice to buy NEO a month ago when it wasn't 150$, but GAS hasn't gone up relative to NEO's growth yet, and it just MAY be more valuable than NEO some day! :)
