Greetings needle crafters and supporters!
Welcome to @needleworkmonday’s Featured Posts #49!
This is a weekly curation showcasing the needlework of our very own Steemians. Every Monday we get together to share our love and passion for the needle arts using the #needleworkmonday tag. On all other days we use the #needlework tag. We enjoy each other’s creations, ideas, patterns, tips and shortcuts.
We strive to bring to you great quality work filled with tutorials and inspiration. Please help us keep these wonderful needle arts alive and thriving by supporting our creative work and community!
This week we had 18 needleartists sharing their work under the #NeedleWorkMonday tag. A big thanks to you all for coming here week after week to inspire everyone with your handmade art!
🧵 Here are our featured projects this week 🧶
Handbags made of recycled paper by @tati25
Don't throw away your old magazines just yet! How about folding and sewing them into a bag? That is exactly what @tati25 did for her dear mother. Joining us for the first time, she shows us how each magazine page is folded, weaved and sewed together to create a beautiful handbag. A brilliant way to recycle those magazines that has been stacked away.
NeedleWorkMonday - nTOPAZ D.I.Y. Contest Entry by @crosheille
Inspired by her daughter who loves to hunt for treasures with her brothers, @crosheille bought a beautiful compass and designed an even more beautiful compass clutch for her daughter to safely bring her compass around while she goes treasure hunting. She shares with us her step-by-step pattern of the clutch and shows us how it is made. There is even a hidden pocket on the strap! What a wonderful gift for a young explorer!
Amigurumi: Pink Panther by @xeliram
@xeliram shares with us her specialty in amigurumi and this time, it is an adorably huggable Pink Panther. She demonstrates how she creates each piece from the feet to the legs to the hands to the head, eyes, snout and ears and how she brings them together. As always, @xeliram brings us a series of photo collage of her process work that makes it easy for us to understand and learn how it is made.
Thank you for stopping by to view our featured posts for this week. Please stop by their posts and show them some love with a read and an upvote for sharing their handmade creations. To see more needle arts, please check out the #NeedleWorkMonday tag and check back here with @NeedleWorkMonday every Wednesday for the weekly Resteems and Curation posts!!
If you are a needlework artist we’d love to have you join us every Monday to share your work and inspire this community to give a craft a try. On Monday’s, please use the #NeedleWorkMonday tag and on other days, please use the #needlework tag (without the word Monday attached) so we can find each other’s work.
