Today I finished this Norwegian Fir baby cardigan! I’ve made this pattern several times before and it’s a fairly easy one 🤗
After weaving in the ends (leaving a bit of yarn to cut later) I soaked the cardigan in cold water and a tinyyyy bit of shampoo.
I rolled it up in a towel to soak up some of the water, then I laid it out on a second towel, shaped it a bit, and left it to dry. Depending on what the project is, sometimes I’ll pin it down and stretch it out, especially with lace patterns.
Thanks for following along! ❤️
Ooooohhh that is so adorable!! It'll be so darling on a little baby :) The button you chose is so cute and perfect for it, too.
Aww thank you! I found the button at Walmart and thought it’d be perfect!
That is so cute. You do such good work. I wish I knew how to knit. Keep doing your good work.
Thank you so much! ❤️
Thank you so much! ❤️
Beautiful cardigan. I wish I could knit but I can hardly make simple scarf 😂
Thank you! It can take some practice lol
Beautiful outcome @lizgore!! I love the details on the sleeves and how you added just the one button!! It is so adorable! You’re getting me excited to start making baby clothes for our little girl that’s on the way. Once I finish her blanket I’m going to make a crocheted cardigan and some other things...depending on how much time I have! Thank you for the inspiration! 😊💕
Thank you so much!! 💞
Absolutely!! 😉
Gorgeous! You say that it's easy, but lace is impressive!
Thank you! ❤️
That turned out really cute! I like the way that the shoulder pattern in the knitting looks.
Thank you! Me too!
Beautiful! Your stitches are so uniform and the lace is lovely. It is amazing to see lace take shape when it is blocked.
Thank you! And yes, I especially love blocking lace shawls, it’s amazing how they transform after they’ve stretched into shape!
I really like your baby cardigans and the pattern on this is lovely. I like the shape of it, too.
Thank you!
It is just ADORABLE @lizgore! That looks like something right out of a J. Jill catalog (for babies, of course). As I mentioned last week, the color...the color..the color! So freaking pretty, and the button is the perfect touch. Well done. Happy #NeedleworkMonday to you, my dear!
Thank you so much! You’re so sweet ❤️
That's really nice. You did a good job here.
Thank you!
I looks anything but easy, it looks fab! 😁
Thank you!!
Wowwww so cute! The most impressive thing I've made is still that long dog scarf thing I made at your house :P
(also what makes it norwegian fir ...)
Thank you lol! Not completely sure why it’s called Norwegian Fir, that was the pattern name, maybe because of the lace??
