Do you think Ben Simmons can win the Most Valuable Player if he develops a three-point shot? For me, it doesn't matter if he can or not. You still can win Most Valuable Player regardless if you're not a good three point shooter. There's a lot of big men in NBA history who couldn't knock down no three pointers and they still won Most Valuable Player because they have elite skills. Remember Tim Duncan who won an season MVP Award. Ben is an elite point guard and there's alot of point guards that wasn't good at three pointers and still won Most Valuable Player. Magic Johnson wasn't good at three pointers and he won the Most Valuable Player three times. Ben Simmons is a pass first player in my option. He can average a triple double on any given day. He probably suck at three pointers but he got skills that can back that up. And I just hope his team play will evolve and will deliver some positive results for the team and be able to achieve their goals especially in the playoffs. Wishing all the best for Ben and hopefully no injuries.
I'm a philly fan and I think you are right he can win the MVP without shooting the 3..however I think for him attempting to shoot the 3 is also important as it would take his game to the next level..remove that weakness of not having to guard him outside make him more unpredictible.
