Fitz Roy
Everytime I go back to my travel folders I end up amazed by this mountain. I have photos of it from every angle possible and everytime it looks even more incredible. Fitz Roy, 3.375m, one of the most technical mountains to climb.

I love it when the fog does that. We get that inversion look up here in Tahoe on occasion and it's always fun to shoot. Hohen Kasten looks incredible!
This image was taken in December during my day trip on Lake Sihlsee in Switzerland.

Sitting on the top of Nisiros's volcanic mountains one can see the village Nikia hanging above Stefanos, the bigest hydrothermal crater in the world.
Wow! Looks like a wild place to live. Beautiful!
This is Aletsch Glacier, the largest glacier in the Alps. This huge river of ice that stretches over 23km (and shrinking unfortunately), is quite intimidating in person. This picture was taken from Bettmerhorn viewpoint at over 2,647m, from where you could still see the turquoise glacier crevasses down below.
Impressive! I didn't realize that was a river of ice at first. Nature is a trip sometimes. Great shot!
Thank you! Yes I also first thought it was a road/highway when I saw it, but no highway is 1km wide like this glacier!
seulawah mountain is located in Aceh province, this mountain belongs to volcano category. so the surrounding area is fertile enough to be planted with various kinds of plants.

I would have trouble living next to a mountain with volcano status. But I do love to garden, maybe fertile soil for my veggies would be worth it... Nice shot!

Approaching the summit of Acotango (6052 m) on the Bolivia/Chile border, Bolivia. The formations to the right are called Penitentes, thin blades of hardened snow.

That's really wild looking. I live in a snow zone but I don't think we get anything like those Penitentes. Incredible photo!

Thanks for the comment. Yes, at about 5750 metres, your oxygen intake is half what it is at sea level (imagine climbing the stairs at sea level with just one lung of air), fortunately I had climbed Chacaltaya (5421 m) and Huayna Potosi (6088 m) beforehand so was fairly acclimatised. You also have high UV to contend with, twice as much at this altitude compared to sea level. Great views and worth the trek.
That's impressive. I've dreamed about going up the Aconcagua, but I've heard it's expensive in terms of equipment needed =s
I made this picture in Tatopani in Nepal one year ago. It was my last day of Annapurna Circuit Trek.

On top of an old bald mountain in Candler, NC. The hike to get there was long and steep, but the reward was a paradise of wild flowers, butterflies, dragonflies and the 360 degree view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I love it when you get to the top of a mountain and have that 360-degree view of more mountains, and those flowers are the cherry on top. Great shot!

Mount Shasta, seen from the North. I found this viewpoint just off the road and decided to feature some local vegetation in the foreground, then went crazy in post-production with dodging and burning....but I still like it!
