Today Steemians I bring you the Capybara!

The Capybara are found in Central and South America. Would you believe they are the largest rodent in the world, weighing 60-174 pounds (27-79kg)! Indeed, some of their extinct cousins were much larger in size! They have the familiar ever-growing rodent front teeth that are perfect for a vegetarian diet in the swamps and waterways they inhabit.

Capybara are known to have up to 8 pups with an average gestation period of 5-6 months. Some suggest that Capybara's are related to guinea pigs. Indeed, these large rodents are semi-aquatic spending much of their time in water.

Capybara's are also kept as pets and are easily trainable but you would need a lot of land for grazing and a watering hole to keep these rodents happy!

I really love for traveling to rainforest, i live in Aceh, Indonesia. In my hometown, we have a bigger rainforest called, Leuser national geopark. There are many animal as sumatera tiger, elephant, and many trees.

Because this great articel, i know the new place that same with our place. Thank you brother @whitedolphin for sharing.

very nice! I know of Leuser! Thanks for reading. It is a shame about the palm plantations causing deforestation and the effects on the wildlife like the Orang-Utan.

That's cute

Thehuge guinea pig! I saw a group in Chile - huge! Very interesting.
