These photos were taken on August 6th on a lovely semi shady path on the grounds of The Dallas Arboretum.
I guess it’s as close to feeling like you are in a rain forest in Dallas, Texas!

In my country, Venezuela, there is a great variety of ferns, @violetmed. Although some of them have no flowers, it is not uncommon to see them on walls decorating houses or offices. Some are dark green or fainter, and in various forms. Very good images you bring us today. God bless you!
Have a beautiful day too!
I never knew there were so many different types of Ferns, but back in NZ we have lots of ferns ( not sure what type) all over and they are a symbol on many of our sports team Uniforms
Such beautiful fresh shots of them
Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk tip!
I think there were several more ferns to photograph, but it was very humid and I was ready to head into some air conditioning!
@violetmed Well maybe the other ones may feauture Ina future post
Stay cool
I'm surprised to see that ferns can grow in Dallas in August @violetmed. I always think of them as being plants that thrive in the damp. 😊
Well they water all of the garden grounds daily if there is no rain! I’m sure the ground is always damp by these ferns which are in a fairly shady area. This is the part of the gardens where they have misters installed!
Ah. That explains it then @violetmed. 😊
Love all the greenery. There’s not a lot of ferns here on the Island. Nice shiny begonias leaves. 😊
Nice to end with some lovely begonias :) We have some ferns in our backyard and ferns are very common here but I admit to not taking the time to learn about all the varieties. Great post @violetmed
Lovely lovely greens, @violetmed... and begonias are always so healthy looking - I always think they look 'juicy'...lol
Beautiful shots, it look as if you in a tropical rain forest where everything is greenish and flourishing, fern here as most likely be cutting off coz we see it as well, only few of us keep some maybe coz of environmental conditions I guess. Thx for your those beautiful shots.
Vio beautiful pictures. The world is so beautiful as for as tress etc
At my school we saw how ferns breed and it's very interesting. They reproduce by spores! At home my mom has some in the garden, although she had to pull one out once because it was supposedly poisonous. I don't know if that's true. Thank you for such beautiful images, @violetmed.
The ferns are beautiful, especially the ones that cherry and are small green vines. They don't usually have flowers, but I can tell from your images that they do. Those are very good pictures, beautiful lady. Greetings
It must be a very wet ground in the garden to have so many, although I have heard that there are ferns from arid areas. They are very beautiful indeed and very colorful. Thank you for sharing this publication with us.
They deep water that area of the garden and it is a shady area so the plants are protected from sun burning them up!
haha! howdy today @violetmed! if you took these photos and showed them to people and asked where they were grown, no one would guess Texas! it's remarkable! sorry I'm charging my vote, it was 40% this morning.
No worries on the vote! Have a great day!
