Since my homecountry Austria has to offer many beautiful mountains and other sights of nature, hiking is a very common hobby over here. In order to share the beauty of our nature with you, I decided to start a "Hike with me!" - series.

Da es in meinem Heimatland Österreich von schönen Bergen und anderen Natursehenswürdigkeiten nur so wimmelt, ist Wandern sehr beliebt. Um euch auch an dieser Schönheit teilhaben zu lassen, starte ich nun eine "Hike with me" - Serie!

The first post of my new hiking series will be about a quite short trip I did after a day of work a few days ago. It's not a long trip - however it's still really beautiful and also quite perfect to get your mind freed after an exhausting working day.

Im ersten Beitrag meiner neuen Serie nehme ich euch auf einen kurze Afterwork-Wanderung mit, welche ich vor ein paar Tagen gemacht habe. Sie ist nicht lange - aber perfekt um nach einem anstrengenden Arbeitstag einen klaren Kopf zu bekommen.

The hike starts out on a small road which goes up the mountain through some marvelous green farmlands.

Die Wanderung beginnt auf einem Schotterweg, der sich durch schöne Wiesen den Hügel hinauf schlingelt.

On our way up, we also walked by some goats which were enjoying the shadow the huge trees provided them.

Auf dem Weg nach oben sind wir an Ziegen vorbeigekommen, die den Schatten der Bäume genossen haben.

If you watch out during this time of the year, you will find many eatable mushrooms in our woods - This is a big porcino for example.

Wenn man zu dieser Jahreszeit aufmerksam ist, findet man in unseren Wäldern viele essbare Pilze - wie diesen großen Steinpilz!

When hiking in Austria, you always will find some beautiful trees. Amazing what mother nature can create.

Wenn man in Österreich wandert, kommen einem natürlich auch viele wunderschön geformte Bäume unter.

It took us just about an hour to get up to the top - the Schabenreitnerstein (just 1143m above sea level). However, the scenery you get up there, is just wonderful.

Wir brauchten nur eine knappe Stunde, um den 1143 Meter hohen Schabenreitnerstein zu erreichen. Der Ausblick, den man an der Spitze bekommt, ist einfach nur herrlich.

After enjoying a refueling snack-break at the top, we started our way back down. On our way downwards, we found this huge frog. I wouldn't call it beautiful - however it is still an amazing animal.

Nach einer kurzen Jausenpause auf dem Gipfel, haben wir uns auf den Rückweg gemacht. Auf dem Weg haben wir diese große Kröte gefunden. Kein sehr schönes, aber dennoch faszinierendes, Tier.

Remember the porcino we found before? Shortly before we arrive at our car, we found two smaller ones as well. Therefore it was clear, what we would enjoy for dinner - eggs with porcinos! It was really jummy :)

Könnt ihr euch noch an den Steinpilz erinnern, den wir gefunden haben? Auf dem Rückweg fanden wir noch zwei kleinere Exemplar. Damit stand das Abendessen fest - Eier mit Steinpilzen! Es war echt lecker :)

Da habe ich 5 Jahre lang studiert, schöne Stadt :) aber leider zu wenig Natur für mich! Und die Kunstrasenfußballplätze nerven auf Dauer doch sehr!
Dennoch hast du in unmittelbarer Umgebung , viele Möglichkeiten die Natur zu bewundern und zu genießen. Steinwandklamm, Neufeldersee , Myrafälle um mal ein paar erwähnt zu haben

Ich hoffe doch sehr, dass Dein schöner Beitrag andere dazu motiviert, es Dir gleich zu tun und auch eine Wanderung zu unternehmen. Und nicht das Nacherleben über Deine Schilderungen und Fotos als Ersatz für eigene Aktivität nutzen ;-).
Hoffentlich :) Aber in live ist es natürlich 100x schöner und intensiver, als auf Fotos!

:-) Ich weiß aber aus gut informierten Quellen, dass Marc-Uwe Klings mit einem Beutel ausgestattete Mitbewohnerin, kurz "Das Känguruh" schon in Österreich war. Also manchmal doch auch kangaroos ;-)

Super schöne Wanderung! Die werde ich mir mal auf den Merkzettel schreiben, ich bin selbst auch immer gerne zu Fuss in den Bergen unterwegs.

Sehr schöner Beitrag, gefällt mir sehr. Und Hunger habe ich jetzt auch. Pilze gibt es hier in Uruguay zwar auch, aber die Steinpilze sind eine ganz andere Hausnummer.

Nein da muss ich passen. Leider nicht.
Also ich wäre über den Steinpilz hier schon froh wenn es den gäbe. Das er nicht unbedingt die beste Wahl ist mag sein, aber immer noch mit großen Abstand zu dem was ich hier bekomme. Die besten Pilze gab es mal in einen großen Kaufhaus in einen Glas eingelegt. Mehr muß ich ja gar nicht schreiben.
Uh, das hört sich bitter an ;) Musst mal nach Österreich kommen!

Yeah, that was up in the high roads at the foothill of the mountains. Pretty high altitude but most days it is clear and beautiful up there. I have never been to Austria before so I had no idea it was this beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.

I'd love to but have to visit family and friends in Arkansas and Washington State probably in spring for Ark and Summer for Washington State. Can't go anywhere for awhile as getting into heavy tourist season and I have lots of jams and butters to make. Will be busy starting Nov until May. Maybe someday. Lot's of places I haven't been yet that I would love to explore, but gotta earn enough crypto so I can afford it. LOL

Wonderfully done and beautiful shots mate! In Australia, we don't have any mountains really, just some big hills and hiking trails haha. I use to do a lovely trail walk which was amazing in the right weather.
