I had the day off yesterday to celebrate my birthday and wanted to get out into the Forest. I have been wanting to visit the Whirinaki forest for years and this was the day :) I have the entire place to myself... New Zealand's oldest rain forest! So, yes, a very different video from me here! No music, no guitar, just the quiet peace that a solo hike brings. Oh yes, and my thoughts... and a swim... and a waterfall... but all peaceful and brilliant!
Some years ago, I would post the occasional 'non music' videos (travel and adventure) and wanted to do the same here. A moment of peace and quiet. Oh yes, and my own thoughts. I was hiking for around 4 hours. Yes, I had to have a birthday swim! Had to find a spot to get down to the river as it was a little off track, and I had to! Well, I say swim... more like a 20 second dip! I was full of energy afterwards. In the middle of nowhere, in a river, in New Zealand's oldest forest. What a perfect and much needed day :)
