Good evening fellow Steemians! Today we're going back to interesting weather phenomenons and its causes. Check down below!
This amazing weather phenomenon is called Morning Glory and it's so rare that we still haven't figured out what causes it. Meteorogists and scientists are relating Morning Glory with frontal systems that are often crossing central Australia and high atmospheric pressure that's coming from the north. The cloud often occurs as series of waves that are forming bands of rolling clouds that can be up to 1.000 km (620 mi) long.
These clouds usually travel very low, often only 100-200 meters above the ground level.
Sometimes there is only 1 cloud and sometimes there are up to 10 consecutive rolling clouds.
There's only one place where this occurrence can be predicted and observed. From late September to early November city of Burketown, Australia is the spot for many glider fanatics that come here with hope of riding through one of these beautiful clouds.
