Stages and complexity in nature

Isn't it amazing how the first stages of a plant's development can never clearly show what will follow after them?

What do I mean? When you see these beautiful white flowers, are you aware of what will come after them?
If you are not aware of what this plant is.

And in general, how close it is to the human brain and the human way of thinking that something is first born as a flower, then grows as a fruit, which often has nothing to do with the absolute final product, which finally becomes edible.

IMG_20220601_155717~2.jpg

That is why it was so interesting for me to observe this plant.

IMG_20220601_155737~2.jpg

I have shown it to you in its final phase with the ripe fruits.

IMG_20220601_155737~2.jpg

And this is my favorite phase of its development.

IMG_20220601_155756~2.jpg

Because the fruits become incredibly beautiful with their specific blue color, and the leaves on the branches fall and it takes on a special surreal look.

IMG_20220622_193814~2.jpg

But nothing in the initial phases suggests that it will come to this - to this color and this look.

IMG_20220622_193827~2.jpg

And this is perhaps one of the so many manifestations of the magic and complexity of nature.

Thank you!😊🌹

I believe Mother Nature had intentionally created the fruits in blue colors as that is a color that most of the insects avoid. Thus the plant is able to safely spread its seed and pollinate the soil around ;)
While the leaves are green to absorb as much as sun light as possible :)

That's interesting theory 😌 Because I thought the color blue in nature is so unnatural that it should not even attract people's attention. But that's not the case, as we know it.
Every time I think of blackthorn, I perceive it as unnatural. But then I think of the other blue fruit that I myself eat. For example - ordinary plums. I don't find them unnatural at all when I eat them 😁

I found that first time I traveled to Greece and wondered why the most of the window frames, blinds and covers are painted in blue. The local told me this color repels them insects :)
Anyway, some plant shapes and colors even look scary :)

I thought this with the insects is about the white color, that is why there are so many settlements with whitewashed houses. Or this was because of the sun... 🤔 Can't remember.
Anyway, I'm sure colors affect on a psychological level not only us humans, but also all kinds of animals.

True! I believe whitewashing the houses reflects more sunlight ergo heat from the walls.
I love the Mediterranean houses with their whitewashed walls and blue window frames and blinds :)
