It had rained for several days. A few months of drought was resolved. I took a walk after the rainfall. Everything in the field was animated.
Kids threw Bicycles away on the road to jump into the water. I could remember that mind when I recalled my childhood. The humidity of the summer after the rainfall was very high.
Kids jumping into the stream were playing each other and catching fishes. Their moms were looking at their kids.
I took the pictures of the daddy and baby.
I saw some people were gathering under the bridge.
Families were preparing for lunch.
And the kids were enjoying playing in the water
One couple took a nap by the stream.
Some people were catching horn snails to eat
Everyone seemed happy.
I enjoyed happy day.
yummy, horn snails, like to eat that aswell ahha. fun for the kids!

Taking a nap near a flooding river... That seems pretty scary to me:(
But for sure very romantic. You see, the reaction of people to heavy rainfall really depends on the region where people live.
In the place were I used to live before (it's Minsk, Belarus), we never had the issue of draughts. We had enough rainfall, so the flooding was the kind of the issue that occurred from time to time.
The worst thing about the flood was indeed the property damage. Some parts of the city of Minsk are lower than the other and a lot of water can gather at such low areas. That would mean that is someone had parked his or her car there, after about an hour of thunderstorm the engine of the car would be completely covered with water.
Which is a horrible thing for the car, water damage is pretty expensive to repair.
Here is a picture of such area of Minsk and how it looks like after the flood (I think this picture was taken back in 2009):
Although I feel very sorry for all those car owners, there are still people who get to enjoy themselves on such a day :)
There were flood in Korea before
But climate seemed to be changed.
thank you for your comment
Actually I recall seeing on the news something about the floods in Korea not that long ago, maybe around a year ago. I quite vividly remember seeing pictures of landslides.
Yes, I've just Googled it, as it appears there were floods last October which left 32 people dead. That's very tragic.
Woww amazing place, Enjoy

Rain and waterways are so important in an agrarian economy - but now, perhaps, Korea is moving from dependance on agriculture to a more diversified economy.
You will see cities and towns always located near water because traditionally those were the arteries that supplied life to the urban centers.
What I see in your post, @slowwalker, is people seeking out the river simply for enjoyment and entertainment.
It's fortunate when water is easily accessible and the people can relax and enjoy a day in nature.
It also looks like you enjoyed yourself too, @slowwalker!
Thank you for your comment

slowwalker....what i take from your photos and life sharing's is something we don't have in the US much and that is back to basic's and appreciation for the little things. It's constant rush, not able to find time to enjoy life's simple pleasures. Our version is you have to go to Disney World or Epcot in amazing heat and stand in lines and pay $10 for a hotdog. Thank you for reminding us.
thank you for your comment

The scenery that pampers the eyes with a natural atmosphere
Beautiful scenery and can be made into a tourist spot.
Good writing @slowwalker. This story reminds me of my childhood, the raindrops down my rain with my sisters and my friends playing with rain in the fields. We made a raft of banana trees. When the water is completely stagnant in the fields. At that time we played raft. In Aceh it is still summer. Hopefully the rain also goes down. Thank you for sharing this post. I like it and I will resteem this post.
Thank you
Memories in childhood are priceless in our life
True, childhood memories are never forgotten. He will be a story that will never be bored for us to tell future children.

Hey @slowwalker, where in Korea is this scenery happening? Nice live pictures of life
Great pics. Isn't it interesting how people are drawn to water? Rivers, ponds, lakes or beaches. People always gather at the water's edge.
That seems to be a really happy day. :)
Eating lunch, having fun under the bridge, even taking a nap!
What a happy and joyous life.

Full 100% and pinned on my board :-)
Looks like a happy day!
Once the rain falls after months of drought, it's just so refreshing. Temperature drops, all the plants can start to grow again, and of course a lot of fun playing in the water.
As long as it doesn't start pouring with rain for days, like it did in Bangkok recently.

When it rains a lot I'm scared @slowwalker Our territory is very weak and the disasters caused by floods have often been dead. I do not love rain much when it lasts many days...
it depends on...
