Here is an example of the new range of technologies that are available for agricultural lighting. These systems are tunable to a variety of spectrum profiles. Putting the power in the frequencies plants use to grow and fruit. These systems are only getting better, cheaper and use less power the old alternatives for plant lighting.

I can understand this.

So optimum wavelength is around 650 nm.. hmm..

My guess is. It is dependent what plant and what stage of growth. This is why we need lights like these to we can put the power consumed in the spectra that is needed by the plant as it grows. I would also like to know if anyone is researching lights effects on soil organisms. These are what provide the nutrients and other thing to the plant.
