New Orleans City Council requires all new commercial parking lots to use porous paving

“Permeable solutions ... allow water to be absorbed into the ground, reduce runoff volumes, mitigate flooding and reduce subsidence.”

Interesting article about how the city of New Orleans is requiring parking lots to use porous paving material. I do believe that we have paved too much of the land, and that is what is causing so much of the flooding. When we pave the land we lose the ground that absorbs the water and the trees that drink the water, not good......
