Good evening to all of Steemit's friends, hopefully on this beautiful night's occasion all in good health, and always headed for more success in working at Steemit. On this occasion I will share about the beauty of Lake Toba located in North Sumatra (Indonesia). Speaking of the lake, many people in this world are very fond of the lake. Well, please read and see some photos below, hopefully you all like this with my post.
Did you know that Lake Toba in North Sumatra is declared as the largest crater lake or volcanic lake in the world! We can compare with the area of Samosir Island located in the middle of Lake Toba. Samosir Island has almost the same area as the country of Singapore! Can you imagine the extent of Lake Toba that surrounds Samosir Island, surely much wider. With a length of 87 kilometers and a width of 27 kilometers with a depth of more than 500 meters, certainly not in one day we can admire its beauty.
In addition to the amazing extent of the amazing, past Lake Toba is not less amazing. With a height of 900 meters above sea level, Toba was originally a giant volcano supervulkan capable of producing a very powerful eruption. The lake is formed by one or several huge volcanic eruptions, which some scientists say may be among the most powerful eruptions in earth's history. The eruption made an enormous crater. Gradually, the enormous crater was filled with water and formed what we know as Lake Toba.
Then the shift of the earth layer makes the base of the lake rise and form a very beautiful island of Samosir. Samosir Area about 647 square kilometers is almost the same as the country wide Singapore. With a height of nearly 1 kilometer above sea level and surrounded by a row of volcanoes that are part of the Bukit Barisan Mountains make Lake Toba so cool and beautiful. Many enau and pine trees that thrive around Lake Toba add to the beauty of this lake. To the north of Lake Toba can still be found a variety of interesting fauna such as monkeys, orangutans, and some types of monkeys.
While in the southern part of Lake Toba there are different fauna species such as monkeys lingur, tapir, and ingkir. Surely this is also unique because this lake seems to function as a dividing ecological line of fauna on the north and south side of Lake Toba. As far as the eye can see, the beauty of the lake surrounded by a row of mountains so beautiful and amazing. The thick fog sometimes blankets this cool and cool lake.
If there is no fog, the curve of Lake Toba is so beautiful to be admired. Yes, Lake Toba is like a sea in the middle of land that is really cool. You can observe the beautiful curves of Lake Toba through the Tele Tower. Especially when seen in the morning, the scenery is so beautiful considering the tower is located on the hillside. You can find Tele Tower between Pangururan and Sidikalang. If you want to stay without crossing to Samosir Island, you can choose various lodging in Parapat area. In Parapat there are several hotels and resorts with direct views of Lake Toba.
In the middle of Lake Toba there is an island that is also no less beautiful and amazing is Samosir. There we can visit some villages and enjoy nature tourism as well as cultural tourism. Lake Toba and Samosir Island are the heart and hometown of Batak people. To visit Samosir Island can be through the port in Parapat the Ajibata Harbor. There are several ferry boats ready to take local residents and tourists to Tomok Port on Samosir Island. Even some ferries are also available such as cars and motorcycles to Samosir. The long ferry ride to Samosir Island is about 30 minutes.
Well, here's a little I can write on this evening's opportunity about the beauty of Lake Toba. For those who like the beauty of the lake, there is no loss if you and your family to go to Lake Toba, because here has a very beautiful nature. Thank you for all who have visited my post this time, and do not forget to follow me, hopefully we can be friends and can share each other.
