Dear people of Hive,
welcome to another fishing evening at our home spot. It is quite amazing that every time we come here, there is something new to see. This time we met our old friend the Nutria. First i was assuming it is a peace of old wood when i saw something dangling in the water not to far from where we were fishing. But soon the wood started moving towards us and i had a closer look.
Here is the little guy swimming by and watching us doing out thing. Probably hoping some spare food will find its way to him.
I find its look quite interesting and a bit funny as well. It is like a mix of a small dog and a big hamster.
The reflection of the water on this picture is really amazing it kinda looks like the Nutria is swimming through liquid metal.
I followed our friend a while to see what he is up to and get a better shot. Here it is just emerge from the water.
First a good scratch before feasting on the green.
Is it not cute?
It was very suspicious towards me and it was not easy to sneak close enough.
But i managed to get some cute shots.
This animal has enormous teeth! Even thou it is very shy and would probably never attack, you would not like to get bitten by one!

Oh and we also caught some fish this time! I actually caught a nice big pike but before we could land it it made a big jump and escaped. Funny though, almost exactly two years ago, i caught a nice pike at the exact same spot. Here an old picture.
-original Post here- I wonder if it was the same one? To bad i had no chance to take a picture.
The other fish we caught were rather small. Here a small Asp Wikepedia link
and a small Perch. We released all of them of course with great care.
It was again great fun at this spot especially to watch the Nutria but it also felt good to catch some fish again. It has been a while since we caught fish at this spot. Thank you for passing by! I hope you enjoyed the pictures!

Me neither so far. I have not even heard about nutria so far. It looks like a beaver-like animal. I like it.

Dear @mrf83, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago when the HBD stabilizer proposal rose above it.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work?
