RE: For Money, Do not Destroy the Environment !!! (Eng- Ind)

in #nature7 years ago

Good post. I agree that something needs to be done to mitigate environmental damage. Whether I agree or not though, is unimportant. Something does need to be done or we will have a much more difficult future.
Your article makes it sound like greed and destruction are a human invention. Animals don't care about the environment, or sharing(unless it has a genetic benefit via altruism). If they were successful enough, they would pursue their inputs as vigorously as we do. I think its important to recognize the proven good in society. No animal before us has dedicated so much time to helping others, even of a different species. Even if you think these selfless people feeding the homeless or helping endangered animals are in the minority, or are cleaning up after human error, it has still never occurred throughout evolutionary history in any other species, to the best of our knowledge.
People need to be kept in check, no doubt about it. Show them an alternative and lead by example. You won't get anywhere pointing fingers.

Thanks. you have visited my blog. Greetings, Environment from Indonesia

Just to amend my first comment (I thought it would be disingenuous to edit it), you will get somewhere by finger pointing. Companies have been held accountable. I do believe that cooperation is a faster route to a better future though.
